I Heart Paper Toys
Who doesn’t like some paper toy fun? Ever since I discovered Mat Hawkins blog, I’ve folded together quite a collection.
The super talented Matt even helped us to create these Disney paper toys that we used as free downloadables earlier this year.
So naturally, I was excited to discover some new fantastic folded creations from paper engineer Marshall Alexander.
Below is just a sample. He’s got a very creative collection available as downloadable .pdf’s for that empty shelf in your office.

Happy Holidays From Disney Cruise Line
Remember that cruise video shoot I went on a few weeks ago? Well, I took that video and made an interactive gift that Disney Cruise Line is sending to guests who sailed with them this year.
It’s a little port-hole window that showcases different views from the ship. It’s kind of a mood-maker that reminds you of those relaxing moments onboard. There are several views to choose from and there’s even a little countdown to the holidays feature.
If you’d like to check it out, and you have Flash 8, just download the PC or MAC version.
UPDATE: Apparently there was a server problem downloading the Mac version. But, it’s all working now, if you’d like to take a look.
Out Cruising
I’ll be out on the Disney Wonder until Monday October 3rd. Technically, I’m “working”. I’m shooting some HD video that I’ll use in a little interactive project for Disney Cruise Line. I know, I know, I have a tough job.
I’ll be back in about 10 Mai Tai’s.
Trip To Montreal
My work sent me to Montreal Canada for 3 days this week for a video edit. I worked with a great group of guys at Epoxy (Bonjour Dan & George). Take a look at some of their work. They’re a really talented group. They work in a lot of creative disciplines, from web to film. I highly recommend them.
They were also great hosts. They took me on a tour of Montreal. If you’ve never been you’re really missing out. Montreal is a hip, warm French & English speaking city with great European architecture. The people are very welcoming and the culture is such that you feel instantly comfortable (ladies greet you with a kiss on both cheeks). Everywhere I went I felt like a V.I.P.
The food is amazing and eating in the city is an event. Meals are not as utilitarian as they are in the US. They are big, paced slow and relaxed. It’s more about the company and the exquisite tastes than just filling up. Most of our dinners were several courses, each paired with a different wine. All the restaurants we visited were amazing, but if you visit Montreal you can’t miss Chasse et Pêche.
C’est bon!
