Free iTunes Songs From Starbucks

SOTD_starbucks.jpg

Starbucks has a great iTunes promotion starting today that brings together two things that I love… music and a Venti Iced Mocha- four-pump, two-percent, no whip (or whatever you’re drinking these days).

Just ask your barista for the Song of the Day, and you’ll get a card with the iTunes download code. They’re giving away a different song every day between now and November 7, 2007.

You better pop in early, as my local dealer of the last legal stimulant Starbucks was out of today’s song by the time I dropped in for my afternoon pick-me-up.

Personalized Music

You can customize your Nike’s and your M&M’s online. So, why not personalize your music too?

Yahoo Music is featuring a personalized MP3 of A Public Affair by Jessica Simpson for $1.99. In this version Jessica Simpson sings your name.

Yahoo has a list of names that you can choose from. Joey was on the list, though I decided not to buy the song. But, despite whether or not you like her music, being able to personalize the song with your name is a good idea.

I’d like to see artists offer their music in pieces that users can remix and mashup.

Free Jam Pack Loops

Hey all you .Mac members out there: check your iDisk’s Members Only folder. You’ll find 100 loops from Apple’s Jam Pack 4, Symphony Orchestra. Strings, woodwinds, brass, percussion and keyboards are all included.

Mix your new loops with the Beastie Boys or Nine Inch Nails remixes. Have fun.
