Business Card Scanner
People don’t really use business cards to exchange contact info anymore, it’s more about branding these days. But most business cards I see are still pretty utilitarian and therefore I don’t really want to keep them around. I just transcribe any info I want to keep into my iPhone and trash them.
The B-Scanner is an idea that makes getting that info a snap. Just slide in any a standard size business card and and the image is scanned into memory. You can look thru each card using the jog dial and a beautiful OLED screen.
The B-Scanner is just a concept imagined by Sungwoo Park & Bongkun Shin, but it would be great to be able to hand business cards back to people to reuse.
Of course, I don’t really want another device to carry around. Maybe Apple could just make the camera on my iPhone better at close up photography and add a little OCR technology.
